The Beauty Of Metallic Symphony

Faith

Has anyone in this world ever lived by without knowing the word "God", even once? If I were to go up to some random 5-years old kid and ask him, "Do you know God?" I can assure you man... He would NEVER say, "I don't know who is God." Trust me. Anyone that understands any language is bound to know this word. In fact, it may not merely be simple as a word. God might be this invisible force that monitors our every movement and predetermine our next moves and fates. And yet, maybe God never really existed. Still, I would like to congratulate the people who created a Faith for many people to believe in.

I was relaxing and running through my economics and fundamentals of marketing textbooks(Lord knows how did I actually pick up that interest...), when a really, really deep(and slack) thought came into my mind. Questioning doctrine, perhaps? I dived into that "creation versus evolution" argument. Creation, religion, spiritual world versus evolution, science, physics and wherever there is poop for them. My mind went from an empty, hollow vessel of sunshine and rainbow and love and pain into a world of blasphemy and... science?

I remembered how my mother apprehended me for actually paying attention to the sermon of some strangers about Christianality. She told me that my father never liked those people because they would try to influence us and "rob us of our freedom in faith". My father doubted the sermon-givers and vowed to keep his distance from them for as long as he can. I can't believe I actually doubted him for that. Everyone should have their own rights to choose their faith, right? My parents are agnostic. My parents base their faiths in respect for nature, such as not eating beef as we respect cows as human beings too, or something like that. Something to do with cows giving birth their offspring is similar to us humans giving birth to babies. My siblings, as anyone would know, base their faith in some stupid video games and hoping to "discover" superpowers and shoot flames from their anus and stuff like that.

Each side would have their own consequences. For instance, if one is to believe in science, evolution and the world-changing physics, their studies would conflict with angry popes who demand that "God created everything". As for me... Uh... I don't really know how to express it. Much of me is based on "freedom" itself. Maybe I am indeed like my parents who would choose to keep away from contra-freedom, only that I am more of the adventurous sort than my parents as to dive into this conflicting debate. Maybe things would seem clearer if I were to tell you to read the history of every nations in this world. While history may lie, evidences do not.

For one or two hours of my free time I read a little bit about the history of Singapore, a little bit of China... A little bit of US... A wee bit of Russia... Okay. I spent most of my time not on my laptop. But I admit at least I did put in some effort in studying history at my free will. Apparently, there were no true religion in some countries in the ancient era, and beliefs in God only started some time later. Go read for yourselves and you will know...

I misunderstood my parents' faiths. I have yet to really decide my own faith. I would like to know... What do you place your faith in?
