The Beauty Of Metallic Symphony

Gangnam Style

My first impression of the song is that it would be 'neater' than the other Korean music videos like Big Bang's "Fantastic Baby", and perhaps Tara's "I Go Crazy Because Of You", since I get somewhat dizzy upon watching the music video. At least PSY PSY presents himself more... neatly. Then the song was also somewhat nice to listen to. I mean no offence, of course. You see... Try comparing G-D in 'Fantastic Baby'...

And PSY...

And by the way, I am a HUGE fan of Big Bang, not a hater.

I once respected PSY and his new(and currently no. 1) hit a month after release. Then I once asked myself, "Is Gangnam Style going to conquer the world one day?"

  ... I was right.

Even school students and Poly students dance to the music as if it was nobody's business. Even in Leadership Camp. I can even hear inconsiderate drivers blasting the song on their car radios. So... The next time I hear the song, my face goes like this:

Watching the music video and laughing off the hilarious moves once in a while is okay. But when I have to ALWAYS hear the song or watch the music video, more than once a day... You can guess...

Imagine watching your favorite movie(Not-too-romantic kinds) with your buddies three times a day, observing nothing but the exact same things that happened in the movie every time you watch it whether or not you missed a few parts or not. It's just like a beautiful dream turned horrible nightmare.

I understand PSY's intention of helping us laugh our ass off his funny moves in the music video. I understand that he wants to brighten our moods a little by mixing the popular K-Pop genre with comedy. He was successful in not only his intentions, but globally influencing the entire world into riding invisible horses in the course of the chorus.

Damn... I need a break... I guess it's back to the Classic Pop genre for me!

The Last Lunch

I would like to dedicate this post to one Man. The man whose true name is Brandon. His short name is Bran. He is a Man, although I am slightly worried about his sexuality. Hopefully he is straight... This guy is undoubtedly one of my very few BEST friends, that even a simple "bro" isn't enough to describe the importance of him in my life. By the way, I am straight too...

The reason why I call this post "The Last Lunch" is because his situation is quite similar to "The Last Supper": The Last Charity before Salvation. If this is offensive to any extent to religion, then I apologize. The reason is simple: We went out on the 6th of October to not only make up for his birthday which was on the 24th of September, but also enjoy ourselves together before his GCE 'O' Level Examinations.

In our outing on the 6th of October, Bran, BX and I had quite some fun together in... Umm... Beach Road?  I'm not entirely certain of Singapore's various roads and avenues, pardon me... We got Pepper Lunch for lunch, which was mine and Bran's first time eating there, in Suntec City Mall. Then we bought Gong Cha and walked to the LAN in Bugis Mall. We played Left 4 Dead 2 for a while, then Audition. After that, we walked around in Bugis Junction and BX got his new schoolbag. We proceeded to Everything With Fries
and got our early dinner, then went back to Suntec City Mall to play in the arcade.

We have 'worked' together for quite some time already. I met and befriended him when I was Primary 3. As a matter of fact, I really respect him for a few of his characteristics which stand out a lot, if people actually see it.

Firstly, from what I see it, NOTHING in this world seems to trouble him at all. He can just go onward without ever getting emotional or stressed. Even the 'O' Level Examination stress doesn't shake him, nor does it stop him from having his fun. 'Sturdy' may not be a word to describe this. Maybe... 'Happy-go-lucky'?

Next, like me, he never rages over many matters. He can take jokes, even some personal ones, and he never expresses frustration. He never wails at anyone who fails to be punctual. Oh! By the way, BX, we were seriously not angry when you didn't make it on time that day.

Lastly, he is not afraid of defeat. He does not fear defeat. To him, defeat or not, "It's Just A Game". Everyone dislike defeat to a certain extent, and I must say, even I, who always loses most of the time, dislike defeat more than he do. Yet, I have never noticed any discontent in him every time he get defeated in a game. Unlike SOMEONE who whines in his mind in the several occasions of defeat(Notice the font color of the word "someone"...).

His graduation examination is coming very soon. I support him more than how much I seem to support him. I really hope he can get into Singapore Polytechnic and become one with us. I really hope he can get into a desired and desirable course of his choice, which from what I heard is Diploma in Aerospace Engineering. I hope that when that day comes, we could sign up for the same CCA which we both like: Something with guns, shooting and action. Something like paintball. I just really hope that he can find his meaning of success.

You know, I can personally say that he is quite similar to a particular Anime character. The only difference is that Bran's human, while the character is not, and the character does talks to girls, while Bran doesn't: Shiron Windragon from the anime "Legendz".
