The Beauty Of Metallic Symphony

Grey World

I have no complaints about whatever happened today. No opinions. And THAT is the problem... I have no opinions because no one has. Any idea how silent things became when it comes to sharing ideas? 3/4 of the class were awkwardly silent and shut in their mind and god-knows-what-is-in-there. I might be wrong, and yet, my teacher often said that "There is no fully right or wrong answer". I may be half-right or more about this: The world is graying-out.

People were much more expressive and open towards one another in the past. The present is taking a major turn of this. I do fear for the future. Who knows, we will never see colors on people ever again... Imagine living in a colorful and vivid world of technology, robots, houses and shopping malls, and a really small dash of nature. There are colors on them. However, you notice the inhabitants devoid of the seven colors; everyone is dressed in black-and-white T-shirts and black shorts and skirts and whatever, their skin pale like Voldemort's, and the environment is filled with the buzzing sounds of technology as well as occasional clanking and rustling. The streets are no different from those inhabited by rotting corpses and mindless zombies competing for human flesh. People shutting themselves away and go about their own selfish mindset that everyone but themselves are inferior. This is one of the many possible dystopia that could be achieved if people insist on reserving their ideas to themselves.

Well, maybe the dystopia thingy totally doesn't match with our current situations... You could say that such blatant errors were formed because I am simply ticked off by how people refuse to cooperate and learn together and stuff. Some people may be better than us. Yet these "better than us"s refuse to share their knowledge and stuff, believing EVERYTHING to be competition.

Here is a little something I noticed in my class, although I had hoped that it doesn't reflect the entire society. I was up for a presentation for Microeconomics. 4 of us were chosen for this presentation. We had to share our knowledge and other stuff that we learnt in our lectures. I was the third to do so. I tried hard to present and stuff, but SOME PEOPLE refused to cooperate and talked among themselves and ignored me, as though they knew EVERYTHING and that my presentation was a waste of time. They talked among themselves(Especially some of the girls) throughout my entire presentation, while laughing inappropriately at the presentations of the other three. At first I sensed stereotype, that they think I was some failed joker. Then my teacher stepped in and asked the class on their opinions on my presentation. No one said anything, and that includes those stereotyping attention-whores. Afterwards my teacher went on and scolded the class for being uncooperative towards fellow classmates, except me, when he praised me well done and patted me on the back.

I don't understand a few things on what the hell is in peoples' minds, especially those attention-whores. I do remember an unofficial friendly-debate between the sexes. I was part of it. There were no teachers, so we were free to share our points of views. Me, another guy and two girls from a different group of girls in my class. One of them said that "Girls tend to say one thing but mean another". Something like that. They also stereotyped that "All boys are insensitive". I did not step into a rebuttal, but continued to listen as though I had no qualms about that argument. In fact I do, a LOT. I know how it is like being sensitive and stuff. Every small little details triggered my attention. I could not stop thinking of that certain thing that got my attention. I would ponder over it until I get an answer. Also, I was easily hurt, although one cannot simply see so through facial expressions and para-verbal means. Yes, I do agree that being sensitive to others' feelings is a good thing. But what good is it being sensitive to EVERYTHING? That is why I do not understand girls.

Even in the MRT train do I realize how grey the people were. Even among friends they do not talk. More than half of the population in the MRT just had to stare at their i-Phones, whether they were sitting, standing or even at a vulnerable situation of a pervert touching their asses. The MRT was crowded, but the silence from within the train really does not pair with the population. It is like a bunch of crickets in one bush not making noise at all.

It really is a grey world now. What will become of the future?

Oh, and by the way. I tried to listen to this viral song called "hot problems", and I dare say that Justin Bieber is at least 9000 times better than them. I stopped listening at 0:28.
