Surely everyone will raise their heads up high to honor their country. Right on the very special occasion. I do suppose our National Day is called "Independence Day" for a reason. The 9th of August was not the day when Singapore was founded, but rather the day we seized merger with our neighboring country and claim our own name, our own nation.
Small is the word to describe our country's geographical size on the globe, but never the aura of our hearts that radiate in glory and honor of our nation. I can gladly salute Singapore as my home. Although I'm just a secondary school student who may seem like an apple in a crate of apples, I'm a spontaneous one at that. It takes full commitment and courage to spot for a change, and I did. If I could, and didn't quit National Cadet Corps(Land), I could have been the douche-bag on command for the Parade in school. If I hadn't 'graduated' from T&F, I'd want to bear a torch and a flag under the name of Singapore and light the torch like how Darren Choy lit the Olympic flames for 2010's Olympic Youth Games. AH! If only I had an opportunity to do so... Anyways, I can't wait for the NDP to be broadcast live on TV. I'll just have to watch it on TV since I don't have a ticket...
Some assholes didn't show their dedication to their country. If anyone knows who is Jacky, he's one of those who'd willingly sit down and act on his own accord when everyone was singing the National Anthem and pledge. He'd laugh and fool around while everyone was chanting the pledge. He'd been executed by rifle-shots for not honoring the country. I guess Mr Edward was right that we're still school students, for he would have been executed by rifle-shots for not honoring his home country on Singapore's 46th birthday... Christ! I really wanna strangle him into oblivion. Asshole...
Anyways, Happy National Day everyone!
